An elderly Mississippi man who made headlines after he woke up inside a body bag at a funeral home two weeks ago has now died for real.

Walter “Snowball” Williams, 78, died around 2 a.m. Thursday at his home in Holmes County, Miss., CBS affiliate WJTV reported. That was the same location where he was also pronounced dead by the county coroner on Feb. 26.

His nephew, Eddie Hester, reportedly told the coroner, "Be sure this time."

Last month, Williams’ body had been bagged and taken to a local funeral home after the coroner’s pronouncement. Hours later, workers at the funeral home got the shock of their lives when the bag began moving.

“Williams was taken to the hospital and reunited with his overjoyed family,” reports CBS News.

“Doctors at Holmes County Hospital said it was possible his severe hypoglycemia, combined with medications he was taking, may have made him sleep so deeply that he appeared to have died,” CBS News reports.

Family members were grateful for the extra two weeks they had with Williams.

"His sister was able to make it into town, and he got to see his last grandchild, and all of his grandkids,” his daughter Mary Williams told The Clarion-Ledger newspaper of Jackson, Miss. “That was a blessing."

Williams, a lifelong farmer, was the father of 11, grandfather of 15 and great-grandfather of six, reports CBS. He had ben suffering from congestive heart failure.
