It was a showdown contest in what's become one of the games to mark on fans' calendars not just in Madison and Columbus, but across the country.
Among a series of imperfections, two mistakes ultimately cost the Wisconsin Badgers and led to a 31-24 Ohio State Buckeyes win.
After having just cut Ohio State's lead to 17-14 at halftime, Wisconsin just missed an interception before halftime.
On the next play, quarterback Braxton Miller threw a 40-yard touchdown pass to Corey Brown who was wide open due to a defensive lapse, and the Buckeyes stayed in control.
Wisconsin had a chance late, down seven with 89 seconds to travel 90 yards, but failed to get a first down.
The loss came despite huge days for Badgers wide receiver Jared Abbrederis (207 receiving yards) and linebacker Chris Borland (16 tackles).
