Former UWM hoopster makes Chiefs practice squad
Former UWM basketball player Demetrius Harris has been signed to the 8-man practice squad of the Kansas City Chiefs.
Harris is a 6'7", 230-pound, uber-athlete caught the eye of Chiefs GM John Dorsey in 2012 with while playing hoops for the Panthers. Dorsey was the Packers Director of Football Operations from 2000-2011.
Following his senior season on the basketball floor, Harris was signed by the Chiefs as an undrafted rookie free agent. In four pre-season games, Harris failed to catch a pass, but has improved steadily since arriving for OTA's.
