Your Milwaukee Admirals embracing Seinfeld, Soup Nazi
I am completely fascinated at the lengths minor league sports teams will go to build a promotion. Over the years, the fine staff at the Milwaukee Admirals have come up with such winners as "Jock Strap Night ", and "Shave Your Head Night".
Below is a press release from the Admirals outlining an upcoming promotion. This is outstanding.
Milwaukee, WI – Next Wednesday January 23rd when the Admirals play the Houston Aeros at the BMO Harris Bradley Center the team will welcome the Soup Nazi to help the Ads celebrate the 22nd anniversary of the premier of Seinfeld.
Larry Thomas, more famously known as the Soup Nazi, has also made appearances on television shows such as CSI, General Hospital and he also played a small role in the movie Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery. His most well-known role is as the Soup Nazi in Episode 6 of Season 7 of Seinfeld, which aired in 1995.
To help celebrate the Soup Nazi’s arrival, the Admirals will be hosting a soup drive to benefit Feeding America of Eastern Wisconsin. For every fan that brings in at least one can of soup they will receive a buy one get one free ticket voucher to a future game, limit one voucher per person.
