Packers will not be fined for vulgar tweets
Gregg Rosenthal of NFL.com is reporting that players who sent tweets criticizing officials following the Packers controversial 14-12 loss to the Seahawks Monday night, will not be fined.
Packers guard TJ Lang, and tight end Jermichael Finley used profane language in their tweets aimed at replacement officials. Several other players who not involved in the game, but similarly frustrated, also blew up social media in disgust with the league over their decision to support replacement officials.
I'm not sure if the league is protecting freedom of speech, or if it's a round-about way of admitting the lack of competency illustrated by the men (and woman) in stripes.
