Russell Wilson to compete for starting job in Seattle
It didn't take former Wisconsin Badgers quarterback, Russell Wilson, long to impress the coaching staff in Seattle.
The Seahawks selected Wilson in the third round of April's draft. Some viewed the selection as a reach, but Wilson has an incredible ability to win-over those he comes in contact with. His intangibles are off the charts, but his 5'11" frame had some scouts second-guessing his ability to pass over a beefy offensive line and defensive front.
According to Seahawks Head Coach, Pete Carroll, Wilson made a strong enough first impression to be lumped into the competition (along with Matt Flynn and Tarvaris Jackson) to start.
