Lions fans feeling a win for home team

CREATED Nov 24, 2011

A took a scan of the Detroit Free Press this morning to get the vibe of Lions fans heading into a collossal Thanksgiving day matchup with the 10-0 Green bay Packers.

As I expected, the fan base is supremely confident in the Lions ability to end the Packers brilliant run. The last time Aaron Rodgers lost a game he started was in Detroit last December. In that game, Rodgers suffered a concussion and was forced to leave the game. The Lions prevailed 7-3.

I don't expect a low scoring game today but would not be surprised if the difference in the final score was 4 points or less.

Below are some pre-game quotes from Lions fans:

The playoff drive for the Lions continues. The Green Bay Packers are in the way. It is time to move them. No team is unbeatable and every so called giant has its weaknesses.

A Lions win will not be an upset and I for one am looking forward to it. Go Lions!

I will be at Ford Field today for this game--just like I was for the Packer game last year when the Lions surprised the Packers. It was priceless to see the Packer faithful exit Ford Field all down in the dumps. I hope today is a repeat!!

If both teams are playing smart, good, hard nosed football like they can, it'll be a close game all the way because the Lions match up as well as anyone against them.

The pack can be beaten. Expect to see the best performance of the year ffrom the D-Line. This would be a great day for Nick Fairley to make his presence known.

A win today puts the lions is great position for the playoffs and a lot of respect in the league. It is time to show they can beat the best teams in the league.

This current team has what it takes to stop this embarrassment, beat the packers, and start a new tradition of winning on Thanksgiving.

All futility streaks come to an end. 0-16 came to an end, 26 straight losses on the road came to an end. Today seven straight losses on Thanksgiving comes to an end.

It is a rallying point of the Mayhew/Schwartz era that the foolishness has to come to an end. Today is a new day! Go Lions!

The lions will win this game.
