Congratulations to the Atlanta Falcons - future winners of Super Bowl 46
Two years ago, Peter King picked the Chicago Bears to represent the NFC in Super Bowl 44. I laughed and burned the issue. Last year, King accurately predicted the Packers would play the Steelers in Super Bowl 45. I smiled and framed the issue.
With the start of the 2011 NFL season about a week away, King has once again chosen his favorites to represent the league in Super Bowl 46. Congratulations to the Atlanta Falcons and San Diego Chargers? More specifically, congratulations to the Falcons, who are King's pick to click as an NFC wild card team.
You'll be able to see all of King's predictions in this weeks issue of Sports Illustrated. Pending the region of the country you live in, you'll also see Packers linebacker, Clay Matthews on the cover. Bonus!
If you don't subscribe to Sports Illustrated, or don't want to wait to read it - here's a snapshot of King's thoughts as it relates to the Green bay Packers.
NFC NORTH PREDICTED ORDER OF FINISH
1. Green Bay Packers - 11-5
2. Detroit Lions - 10-6
3. Chicago Bears - 8-8
4. Minnesota Vikings - 6-10
King believes the Falcons will come into Green Bay and beat the Packers in the NFC divisional playoff round before advancing to the NFC championship game against the Saints in New Orleans.
King's full predictions will also be on www.cnnsi.com before the end of the week. If you don't subscribe to the internet, then you probably aren't reading this blog.
