Perhaps Joe Torre will be remembered by the baseball community mostly for winning four World Series in five years as manager of the New York Yankees.

However, Milwaukee baseball fans will also remember the newest unanimously-chosen member-elect of the Baseball Hall of Fame for his time with the Braves.

Torre received the nod Monday, along with fellow managers Tony LaRussa and Bobby Cox.

Torre started his baseball career with the Braves in 1960 and spent six years in Milwaukee before the team moved to Atlanta in 1966.

His brother Frank played with the Braves when they won the 1957 World Series over the Yankees.
