He's the 44-year voice of the Milwaukee Brewers, an actor, comedian and forever-searcher for front row seats.
Now, 620WTMJ's Bob Uecker has entered the area of arm wrestling referee.
Before the Milwaukee Brewers-Kansas City Royals preseason baseball game at Milwaukee's Miller Park, Uecker conducted the job of fair and impartial (we assume) judge between a pair of translators for two Japanese baseball players.
As documented by Journal Sentinel Brewers (and sometimes arm wrestling) scribe Todd Rosiak:
Great moment here at Miller Park -- arm wrestling match between interpreters Jay Hsu and Kosuke Inaji. Bob Uecker refereeing!— Todd Rosiak (@Todd_Rosiak) March 28, 2014
Unfortunately for Hsu and the #Brewers, the much younger Inaji won easily. Royals players were celebrating wildly.— Todd Rosiak (@Todd_Rosiak) March 28, 2014
They even brought a table out behind home plate for the event. Ah yes, baseball is back.— Todd Rosiak (@Todd_Rosiak) March 28, 2014
Fox Sports' Sophia Minnaert even took a pic.
