Here are some highlights of what Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers had to say after Friday's practice during training camp:
Expectations of training camp: "I think it's a good start for us, but you try to temper your expecations and your projections because it is early in camp. We haven't played a game yet... I like the energy of the camp."
Davon House covering Jordy Nelson: "It's great. House is kind of the Jordy Nelson kryptonite, so I'm glad he's on our team."
Being impressive by Casey Hayward: "The one guy that really jumps out in that group is Casey, as far as you saw him last year dealing with some injuries. He's playing more like he did his first year when he was one of the top rookies."
The team's corp of wide receiver: "I think those guys are doing a good job... It's a deep group, and they know there's jobs up for grabs and there's opportunities to be had in the group."
What he's seen from tight end Richard Rodgers: "I think he really understands how to get open. He has great hands, hasn't dropped anything. What's interesting is his performances picked up, you're seeing other guys in that group pick it up, as well."
Julius Peppers in training camp so far: "Julius is a specimen, and he brings a Hall of Fame pedigree to this defense, and we're excited he's on our side now."
What it takes for wide receivers to get on his good side: "It's really all about one thing: It's about mental preparation. The physical mistakes are going to happen. There's going to be drops at times. We're not going to be on the same page every time. But if you cannot line up right, if you can't get the checks, and if you can't do what you're supposed to do every time then there's no way you can possibly be on the field when I'm out there."
