Packers hope Lambeau Field improvements appeal to the 'modern fan'
GREEN BAY - The Packers released the team's annual financial report Wednesday, and it showed a record financial year.
The team took in almost $310 million over the year, up 2 percent from 2012, and had more than $43 million in net income.
But the Packers are using their money wisely, making sure they meet the needs of the "modern fan", according to Don Walker with the Journal Sentinel.
Lambeau Field is undergoing many renovations, including $146 million addition in the south end-zone and $140.5 million renovation of the Atrium. They have also improved cell service, scoreboards and are working on the wi-fi.
"We're investing in the team, investing in the facility," Murphy told Walker. "We want to improve our fan experience and game-day experience."
"You want them to come to the stadium to get things they can't get at home," he said.
