Packers donate game clothes to Alabama school's football team after fire
The charitable heart of the Green Bay Packers is once again stepping up to help out others in need.
The Packers have donated 100 pieces of equipment to Concordia College in Alabama after a bus carrying football equipment and team members blew up.
The explosion happened before the scheduled Concordia-Miles College game last weekend, according to a statement from Concordia's sister school, Concordia University in Mequon, Wis.
Team members were able to escape before the bus exploded.
CUW donor relations director Rick Riehl called the Packers to see if they could help.
The team gave the equipment, which matches CCA's green-and-gold color scheme.
