McCarthy happy new-scheme Bears are later on his schedule
Change can be a good thing, but to an opposing team's head coach, a change in coaching and the strategic changes which come from it are not necessarily a welcome thing.
Packers Coach Mike McCarthy discussed that on "The Mike McCarthy Show," which airs on TODAY'S TMJ4 and NBC26, and said he was happy the two matchups with the Packers' traditional archrivals don't come until November and December.
A brave Bears fan stepped into the Atrium at Lambeau Field and asked McCarthy about handling Coach Marc Trestman and his more passing-oriented scheme.
"Anytime you play a football team with a news staff, you hope to play them a little later in the season than early," said McCarthy.
"We're fortunate in that fact that we'll have an idea on what they're going to do on offense, defense and special teams. You trust your game plan, you trust your process, and it will be a different challenge for us."
