Drivers License? Who Needs A Stinking Drivers License?
It's no secret that State Representative Christine Sinicki is a train wreck. Now the question is whether she simply considers herself above the law or is, in fact, a crook?
Published reports suggest that Sinicki has claimed over $4000 in mileage payments from the State in 2013. On October 11, 2013 she was stopped in Jefferson County for fourth offense driving on a suspended license.
Since you can only claim mileage if you actually drive yourself, the obvious question becomes what has Sinicki been up to? Has she really been driving without a valid license? Does she feel the rules only apply to the "little people"?
If she has in fact been regularly driving without a license, she is one of a large number of State drivers who consider drivers licenses to be suggestions - not requirements.
On the other hand, most people who drive without valid licenses don't get reimbursed for mileage by the taxpayers.
We'll talk about the Sinicki situation - and the larger issue of people driving without valid licenses - during the 1 p.m. hour of Friday's radio show. Please feel free to share your thoughts in the Comments section - and be sure to check back later to hear a replay of the segment.
