Can We Blame It On Slender Man?
It's the crime story that has the entire world talking.
Waukesha authorities allege that two twelve-year-old girls tried to murder a friend in order to pay homage to a fictional Satanic character named "Slender Man". The victim was stabbed 19 times and left for dead in a wooded area.
The Waukesha School district is doing everything it can to distance itself from the incident - although one of the alleged murderers used her school supplied iPad to read the stories that presumably motivated her acts.
The two twelve-year-olds have been charged as adults with attempted first-degree intentional homicide. If convicted, they each face up to 65 years in prison. Their attorneys will presumably try to have their cases sent back to juvenile court where the girls could be held - at most -until they are 25.
During the 12 p.m. hour of Tuesday's radio show, we'll discuss how the courts should treat these alleged murderers?
