Want To Make $50 Grand The Easy Way?

Want To Make $50 Grand The Easy Way?

Want to make $50,000 the easy way?

No problem.  At least no problem if you're black (or Hispanic or female) and willing to defraud the government.

Back in 1999, the Clinton Administration agreed to make payments of $50,000 each to a group of African-American farmers who alleged that they had been unfairly denied government loans for farming.

Recognizing a gravy train when they saw one, attorneys for other groups of plaintiffs - particularly Hispanics and females - filed suit seeking a windfall as well.  These claims were going nowhere - until Barack Obama got involved in 2010.  Now, it appears that thousand of Hispanic and female farmers who had never claimed bias in court are in line to collect over $1.33 billion in taxpayer dollars.

Even more aggravating, it's quite likely that not only were many of these recipients not discriminated against in seeking loans - but were never involved in farming in the first place.  You see, in President Obama's America, we dole out money first and ask questions later.

Here's some dazzling details from the expose that recently ran in The New York Times:

"In 16 ZIP codes in Alabama, Arkansas, Mississippi and North Carolina, the number of successful claimants exceeded the total number of farms operated by people of any race in 1997, the year the lawsuit was filed.  These applicants received nearly $100 million.

In Maple Hill, a struggling town in North Carolina, the number of people paid was nearly four times the total number of farms.  More than one in nine African-American adults there received checks.  In Little Rock, Ark., a confidential list of payments shows, 10 members of one extended family collected a total of $500,000 and dozens of other successful claimants shared addresses, phone numbers or close family connections. ..."

What a scam!

This reminds me of what happened in Milwaukee back in 2008.  Remember when the federal government started doling out free food stamps to help victims of flooding?  Remember the lines?  Remember all the people claiming money even though the closest they came to flood damage was getting their swimsuit wet while going to the local water park?

I understand that the government wants to promptly get money into the hands of people who need and qualify for it.  That being said, this Federal farm loan giveaway seems to largely be just the latest example of a system that begs to be ripped off!

If you are into identity politics, have no character and are not above a little bit of fraud, there seems to be an easy way to make $50 grand.

Who says America isn't a great country?
