Buyers beware: Hot Pocket recall
Did you pop a Hot Pocket in the microwave for lunch? Hot Pocket's Philly Steak and Cheese and Croissant Crust Philly Cheese Steak and Cheese have both been recalled.
The meat is being described as not fit for human consumption, coming from "diseased and unsound animals," reports E!. "The Hot Pockets recall is part of a bigger meat recall by Rancho Feeding Corporation, [which was] forced to recall 8.7 million pounds of beef that the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service discovered was never federally inspected and came from the 'diseased' animal."
Hot Pockets parent company Nestle said in statement, "The voluntary recall is limited to these two products, which were distributed nationwide. No other batches, sizes, including multi-packs, or varieties of HOT POCKETS® brand products are affected by this recall."
There's no reported sick cases due to this "meat" as of yet.
