  • The month of February is almost over and it has been the only “wintry” month for Milwaukee during this strange winter season.

  • Winds remain northeast today in Milwaukee and the lift from the storm hasn’t left which means there will be a few flurries or snow showers still possible at times.

  • Temperatures will remain in the low-thirties as the winds continue in that direction, also.

  • Colder air rolls in for the beginning of March in Milwaukee.

  • This month has been quite different that the first two months of this winter season.

  • December and January were both well above normal in temperatures, but well below normal in snowfall.

  • Total snowfall through January 31st was only eleven inches, but so far this month Milwaukee has experienced twenty-four inches.

  • The normal snowfall for this month in Milwaukee is 9.8 inches, so this month’s snowfall is more than fourteen inches above normal.

  • Total precipitation was above normal by almost an inch at 2.45 inches.

  • The average monthly temperature for February is 23.5 degrees which is about two degrees below normal.

  • The warmest temperature for the month was forty-eight degrees set back on the 18th and the coldest was one degree below zero on the first day of the month.

  • February was also a very cloudy month with sixteen overcast days and only here sunny days.
