MILWAUKEE - Tents are pitched outside the Zeidler Building downtown with a bunch of college kids pulling a crazy stunt to be the first to vote.
Six tents were set up on the corner of North Broadway Street and East Kilbourn Avenue in Downtown Milwaukee early Monday morning.
About 24 students were waiting there, most specifically to vote for President Barack Obama.
Nathan Smith told Newsradio 620 WTMJ's Michelle Richards that it was a show of support for the President.
"It's something we decided to do as a group," said Smith.
"We're 'Students for Barack Obama' at (his) school, and they're the College Dems over at Marquette. We decided it would be a fun thing to do and camp out."
Organizers had been planning the campout for a couple weeks.
