  • MILWAUKEE - A chilly weekend with precipitation is expected to greet people in Southeastern Wisconsin.

"We remain stuck in the middle of an upper level trough with waves rotating through the cyclonic flow," said Storm Team 4Caster Scott Steele.

  • "The next wave will produce a good deal of cloudiness and some scattered showers today."

Early Saturday should bring even more opportunities for precipitation, according to Scott.

  • "Another disturbance follows with even more clouds and a better chance of steadier showers Saturday. The wet weather should exit Saturday afternoon as high pressure settles in."

Sunday, however, will literally be a sunny day - even with the cool temperatures remaining.

  • "Look for a good deal of sunshine on Sunday with the quiet weather persisting through at least the middle of next week," said Scott.

"Very chilly readings will linger through the weekend when mercury tops out in the mid and upper 50s, about 15 degrees below average."
