Fire destroys garage, damages Glendale house

  • Firefighters in Glendale spent early Monday morning putting out a fire at a home in Glendale.

  • The fire happened at around 1:30 a.m. Monday on the 2400 block of West Applewood Lane.

  • The fire was mostly contained to the attached garage, which was destroyed. The first floor of the home and the attack was also damaged.

  • Everyone escaped the fire, but the owner of the home was treated for what was described as minor smoke inhalation.

  • Investigators were looking into the cause of the fire. According to authorities, the total damage was about $80,000.
