Race to the Playoffs
The Milwaukee Brewers' chances of making the playoffs are as slim as you can get. They essentially need a miracle.
If the Brewers lose once, or the San Francisco Giants win once, for the remainder of the regular season, the Giants earn the final wildcard berth.
The teams each play four more games. Milwaukee's next comes Thursday at Cincinnati, while San Francisco hosts San Diego.
The Washington Nationals have clinched the NL East title, while the Dodgers have done the same in the NL West.
The St. Louis Cardinals and Pittsburgh Pirates have both clinched a postseason berth, but they are still fighting for the NL Central title.
Whoever doesn't win it would host the one-game wildcard playoff against either the Brewers or Giants.
