The Milwaukee Brewers have begun reacting to the statement they helped Ryan Braun release Thursday night admitting guilt to using performance-enhancing drugs.
General manager Doug Melvin talked about the need to back up his words with credibility and integrity.
"It's Ryan's actions when he comes back that are most important," Melvin told Journal Sentinel beat writer and 620WTMJ Brewers 360 contributor Tom Haudricourt.
"He's one of 25 players on the team and he has to come back and perform like he did in the past. Star players earn certain privileges and he may not have some of those privileges now. He's got to be one of 25 guys."
