Attanasio: 'So far, so good' on Braun's way back after suspension

CREATED Sep. 27, 2013

The owner of the Milwaukee Brewers said Friday that suspended left fielder Ryan Braun is taking positive steps after the wrongs he committed which led to his 2013 season ending early.

“I would say so far, so good," said Mark Attanasio to the Journal Sentinel's Tom Haudricourt, who also contributes to 620WTMJ's "Brewers 360" coverage.

"It’s too early to make any judgments on where this is going. I think we all need to step back and see how this goes. He’s in the early innings.”

Braun opened up about using performance-enhancing substance a few weeks after being suspended 65 games during MLB's investigation into Biogenesis.

About the process of regaining his good name, Attanasio said, “I think it’s important for Ryan that he works through this himself."

One of the steps he's taken has been to call season ticket holders.

Brewers COO Rick Schlesinger told 620WTMJ's "Wisconsin's Afternoon News" back in August that Braun suggested taking that step himself.
