After playing in the first of three rounds of the American Century Championship at Lake Tahoe, Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers conducted one-on-one interviews with media organizations including WIsports.com, TODAY'S TMJ4 and NBC26.
Here are his takes on a number of subjects, from the 2014 Packers to Brett Favre to a short response about his new relationship.
On the American Century Championship, to air Saturday and Sunday on TODAY'S TMJ4 and NBC26:
"It's my 10th year doing this. I love it. The people associated with the event are incredible...(the course is in the) best shape I've seen in 10 years, and you've got Lake Tahoe right here. What else could you ask for?"
On the youth movement the Packers have made with their 2014 draft picks, as well as the veteran presence in the linebacking corps:
"I like the young guys we've got. I like the energy we have. It's a great locker room...you've seen guys step up into a leadership role. Mike Daniels is a great leader...Julius Peppers
...Clay Matthews...A.J. Hawk...Ha Ha (Clinton-Dix)
and Morgan (Burnett) and Micah (Hyde)...offensively, we are just reloading."
"I like the energy. I like the outlook that we have."
"(To) bring in a Hall of Fame player like Julius Peppers can't help but bring you an excitement."
"There's an excitement...in my time, being able to play with Brett and Charles and Julius, three of the all-time greats right there...it's going to be great for our team."
"It's not really the role I feel like I need to take, just the desire to see everything reconciled the way it should be. The organization and Brett are going to figure something out."
"It's important for the organization and for Brett before he goes into the Pro Football Hall of Fame to bring everybody together."
"Been a great summer."
On the combination of first-string talent and incredible depth at the wide receiver position:
"We have a lot of talented guys who can catch the ball. It starts with Jordy and Randall, two of the best in the business. Fun to see Jarrett Boykin step up like he did last year...behind him are a lot of guys fighting for six spots."
"This year is going to warrant making an extra spot, because there is so much depth."
After Rodgers' interview time, he spent time taping a message to someone battling a life-threatening disease.
