Ready for some football after Packers' bye week

CREATED Oct. 4, 2013

I don't know about all of you, but I am ready for some Green Bay Packers football.

While the bye week is great to get a team healthy and hopefully work out some issues, us fans walked around in a lost daze last Sunday.

I love football, and will watch most games, but on the Sunday the Packers were off, it just felt strange.

It has been 3 weeks since the home opener and the downpours during tailgating, but the weather and Packers were amazing during the game.

My forecast was perfect, and the team had the perfect game plan.

So are the Redskins that bad, or is this Packers team still trying to find itself?

They still gave up points and yards at the end of the game when it was out of reach, but they looked so much better than the first game against the San Francisco 49ers.

Then they started the next game in the worst way possible, yet they fought back and should have beaten the Cincinnati Bengals

When the Packers were down 14-0 right away, I was like "there is no way they can come back against this defense."

The Bengals' defense is the best in the league in my opinion and they proved it.  They got to Aaron Rodgers right away, and he was flustered the rest of the game.

While the offensive line stepped up with pass protection and run blocking, the Bengals defensive backs didn't give Rodgers much to throw at.

I was impressed with the Packers comeback, and especially how the defense stepped up.

I guess they were watching the Bengals' defense cause all kinds of issues and said "we can do that."

Unfortunately, Rodgers was flustered all day and the defense wasn't the same once Clay Matthews went out with an injury.

It was a heartbreaking loss made even worse, since we fans had to feel this for 2 weeks.

I was not a fan of the bye week so early in the season when the schedule came out in April, but the Packers needed it to get healthy and to figure out who they are.

I have a feeling we are going to see a very rested and physical Packers team!

The Detroit Lions finally look good, and they should with all that talent, but I predict a big Packers division win, 28-13.
