Packers promote speedy running back to active roster
The Green Bay Packers have filled the open roster spot from the release of wide receiver/kick returner Jeremy Ross.
The team added running back Michael Hill, who is 5'10", 210 lbs. out of Missouri Western.
The rookie finished as the school's all-time leading rusher with 4,969 yards and 35 touchdowns.
Green Bay also picked up wide receiver Reggie Dunn for its practice squad.
He's 5'9", 178 lbs out of the University of Utah. He returned four kickoffs for touchdowns last year and finished All-Pac 12 as a senior.
Green Bay only has four wide receivers on its 53-man roster, but at the end of the Packers loss to the Cincinnati Bengals two Sundays ago, they had no healthy running backs.
Perhaps the Journal Sentinel's Bob McGinn revealed the reason the Packers made the move for Dunn:
