The head coach of the Green Bay Packers has chosen his starting quarterback for the Packers-Lions game tomorrow: Matt Flynn.

"Matt will take the starter reps.  We're preparing for Matt to go," said Mike McCarthy on 620WTMJ's "Wisconsin's Morning News."  "I'm hopeful to go coast-to-coast with Matt Flynn."

McCarthy also pointed to the return of Aaron Rodgers to practice as a major positive sign, "more so for Aaron.  It's like any injury.  You have to get the full range of motion, the full strength back."
Later on Wednesday, McCarthy addressed why he may not have initially said Flynn was the starter - perhaps some initial hope that Rodgers could play.
"Monday, I wanted to make sure Aaron had an a staff, we went through the plan, Matt took the starting reps from Day 1."
