McCarthy: Rodgers has 'slim to none' chance of starting Thursday

By Jay Sorgi. CREATED Nov 25, 2013

It doesn't look promising for Aaron Rodgers to play Thanksgiving Day against the Detroit Lions, according to coach Mike McCarthy.

"Had a meeting with Aaron.  He would like to go.  Based on the information, where we are...I would say he's slim to none, to give you what I'm thinking," said Coach Mike McCarthy on monday.

"He's got to practice.  There's some physical rehab hurdles...he hasn't reached yet."

Rodgers broke his collarbone in the Nov. 4th game against the Chicago Bears.

As for the two healthy QB's on the roster, McCarthy said, "We're going to play either Matt (Flynn) or Scott (Tolzien), obviously."

He said he's not going to make a decision yet on whether to start Flynn or Tolzien.  Flynn came off the bench to throw for a touchdown pass and lead a 16-point comeback leading to a tie against the Vikings.
