The question has been asked often during Green Bay Packers training camp this year: Will the Packers' offensive line, and particularly rookie David Bakhtiari, be able to protect Aaron Rodgers adequately this season?
Bakhtiari reiterated his confidence to TODAY'S TMJ4's Jessie Garcia.
"I wouldn't be in the position if I wasn't confident in what I can do and what I know I can achieve," said Bakhtiari.
"I know what I can do. Obviously, I'm here for a reason."
"Dave's coming along real nice for us. He's doing some good things out there. He always has room to grow, as everybody does," expressed center Evan Dietrich-Smith.
The Packers had major issues running the ball against the Seattle Seahawks Friday night, but no one on the line seems panicked.
"I'm not concerned. After watching the film, a lot of it was miscues with the offensive line and running backs," said Bakhtiari.
"The offensive line, we've got to mesh together with the running backs. Once we mesh together, I'm not concerned at all."
Barclay spent time with the starting offensive line during the game Friday night. He owns the top right tackle spot over Marshall Newhouse, at least for now.
