The Green Bay Packers will not have the services of wide receiver Randall Cobb for a long time.
According to the Journal Sentinel's Tyler Dunne:
Source also said that Cobb "nearly broke the fibula all the way through." Was adamant that this will take 6-8 weeks to recover from.— Tyler Dunne (@TyDunne) October 14, 2013
"Randall does not have a chance (to play) this week. He will be out multiple weeks," said Mike McCarthy during Monday's news conference.
McCarthy chose not to disclose the nature of Cobb's injury, though it appeared his knee was hurt during the Packers' 19-17 win over the Baltimore Ravens.
Cobb addressed those fears:
I appreciate everyone for all the love & support. Thank The Lord we bit a bullet w/ what it could've been.— Randall Cobb (@rcobb18) October 14, 2013
The news also came on the day where it was discovered James Jones could return to play Sunday despite his own injury suffered against Baltimore, but Nick Perry suffered a broken foot in the same game.
