Today's Outlook

Weather Gets an A on Wednesday

Tonight is clear and comfortable with lows near 60 and patchy fog.  Wednesday will be sunny to partly cloudy and warm with low to moderate humidity levels.

Wednesday night is warm and humid with lows in the upper 60s and increasing clouds.  The chance for rain and rumbles of thunder also increases well after midnight along a warm front.  After some lingering morning storms Thursday morning, the afternoon is partly cloudy, hot and humid with highs in the middle to upper 80s.
The cold front arrives Thursday night with storms likely and lows near 70.  Showers linger into Friday morning, then it is is partly cloudy, less humid and cooler with highs in the mid 70s.
The weekend will have a taste of fall with highs in the upper 60s on Saturday and near 70 on Sunday.  Both days will be sunny and very dry.
This is meteorological autumn and that means all daily data for temperatures and precipitation and all weather parameters go down in the climate books for the fall season.

Wednesday’s weather is part of the new autumn season and it looks like it will be another above normal temperature day for Milwaukee with high temperatures right around eighty degrees. There should be plenty of sunshine before clouds roll in Wednesday night followed by thunderstorms on Thursday morning. Temperatures will get even warmer Thursday with maximums in the upper-eighties.

Since data is now considered the autumn season we close the books on the summer of 2014. The number one distinction for the summer season in Milwaukee and much of the state is cooler than normal conditions. There were no ninety degree temperatures recorded during the three summer months with the highest temperature coming in just short at 89 degrees set on July 22nd. All three summer months were below normal for average monthly temperature with the total summer falling to 1.8 degrees below normal.

Precipitation for the summer of 2014 in Milwaukee was above normal by almost three inches, despite the fact that July was dry at about an inch and a third below normal. June in Milwaukee recorded more than six inches of rainfall with August reporting almost six inches.
