March Roller Coaster Ride
After a great spring day on Monday with a high of 55, the forecast for Milwaukee, Waukesha and SE Wisconsin is for clouds and scattered light rain showers today with highs near 50. However, northerly winds will drop the temps to near 40 by 4pm. After 7pm, the light rain starts to change to light snow with about an inch of accumulation overnight for most of SE Wisconsin. Areas south of Milwaukee will pick up about 2" of snow by Wednesday morning. Chicago is the bulls-eye and they will get 5-10" of snow! The cruel weather roller coaster of March is in full effect!
Temperatures drop to near 20 tonight with the light snow and a gusty NW wind up to 35 mph. Wednesday will have a few lingering flurries early in the morning before clearing, and a cold day! Temperatures drop into the teens with a north wind up to 35 mph...wind chills will be near or even below zero!
Wednesday night is in the single digits with wind chills below zero before the next warm up. Thursday is sunny and breezy with highs in the mid 30s, and Friday is sunny with highs in the mid 40s. The weekend is colder with highs in the 20s and lower 30s.
