Today's Outlook

Dour Days & Temperature Uptick

We continue to suffer the "pains" of December, one of the cloudiest months of the year.  The grey won't be going away anytime soon.  In fact, the blanket of clouds will yield a bit of light precipitation in the days to come.  Initially, there's not much moisture to work with, so anything that falls will be minimal, but with a variety of temperatures you could expect to see anything from flurries, to sleet, to drizzle, or even freezing drizzle tonight through Sunday.  A more vigorous system with greater dynamic support in the atmosphere will leave the Pacific Northwest and start a journey toward our area at the beginning of the week.  This system hold some promise for those hoping to see a white Christmas.  At this point, our computer models indicate some snow for Wednesday but there's disagreement about just how much might accumulate.  Either way, potentially slick conditions could affect Christmas Eve travel.  Temperatures through the period will remain mild, up to 10 degrees above the 32 degree average high.
