A piece of Milwaukee's past will be put on display Friday, August 23, 2013 at the U.S. Cellular Arena.
The iconic MECCA basketball floor was designed by Robert Indiana in 1977. Then it was the largest pop-art painting in the world.
For one night only the public, celebrities and civic leaders will gather to view the floor in its original home one last time.
Andrew Gorzalski and Ben Koller have both played major roles in ensuring a safe future for the famous floor. They appeared on Wisconsin Tonight to talk about the big event Friday night.
Tickets are $10 at the door, with all proceeds going to the MECCA Exhibit Project.
