The 2014 Billboard Music Awards brought many firsts to the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas.

Pitbull, Jennifer Lopez and Claudia Leitte opened the show with the first-televised performance of "We Are One (Ole Ola)," which was selected as this year's anthem for the World Cup, set to take place next month. Australian boy band 5 Seconds Of Summer made its U.S. debut with "She Looks So Perfect." And Jennifer Lopez became the first woman in Billboard history to be awarded the "Icon Award."

Did we mention the late pop star Michael Jackson ,who returned in the incredible form of a hologram to debut, "Slave to the Rhythm?"
