Want to meet Brad Pitt? Groupon is offering you two choices.
For a $10 donation, your name will be placed into a raffle for the opportunity to meet Pitt. Or, for $25,000, you can purchase the meet-and-greet right now. The latter is referred to as "The Epic Deal."
This Groupon is actually much more than just a meet-and-greet with Pitt. But let's face it, that's all you're interested in right now, isn't it?
Whether you purchase it directly, or donate for your chance to win, the trip for two to New Orleans includes coach airfare departing on May 16 and returning on May 18. The guests will reside at the W New Orleans hotel and have round-trip airport transportation. Purchasers of "Epic Deal" will be upgraded to first class airfare and a hotel suite.
On May 17, the winner and "Epic Deal" purchasers will receive a private tour of New Orleans' 9th Ward, the opportunity to volunteer at the site and then two VIP tickets to the gala at The Sugar Mill. They will also have a group meet-and-greet with Pitt at the event featuring performances by Bruno Mars and Kings of Leon.
"Two years after Hurricane Katrina flooded 80% of New Orleans and damaged more than 200,000 homes, Brad Pitt visited the historic Lower 9th Ward," details the Groupon page. "What he found was a community still reeling from the storm, a lack of progress in rebuilding efforts, and a nation slowly forgetting about the disaster. So Pitt founded 'Make It Right' to build safe, sustainable, and affordable homes in the neighborhood hardest hit by the storm." His foundation has since built 100 eco-friendly homes in the city's Lower 9th Ward.
"The money and attention this gala raises will benefit groups across the country that 'Make It Right' supports. These include victims of Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans, disabled veterans in New Jersey, children leaving foster care in Kansas City, and Native Americans on the Fort Peck Reservation in Montana," further notes the Groupon page.
There are only nine "Epic Deals" available. Groupon will donate 100% of the $10 chances to "Make It Right" and $22,500 from each "Epic Deal" sold.
The Brad Pitt meet-and-greet Groupon ends in 12 days. More than 5,000 individuals have donated $10 for their chance to win. There are no "Epic Deals" sold as of yet.
