Golden Globe nominee Bradley Cooper got the giggles during an interview on the "Today" show Friday about his role in "American Hustle."

This is the second Golden Globe nomination for Cooper, who was also nominated for "Silver Linings Playbook." His more recent movie is based on the 1970s ABSCAM bribery scandal.

The giggles started at the beginning of the interview with Willie Geist.

More of the interview will appear on "Going for the Gold" with Matt Lauer at 8 p.m. tonight.

Cooper was nominated for best supporting actor in a motion picture. He is up against Barkhad Abdi in "Captain Phillips," Daniel Bruhl in "Rush," Michael Fassbender in "12 Years a Slave" and Jared Leto in "Dallas Buyers Club."

The 71st Annual Golden Globe Awards air at 8 p.m. Jan. 12 on NBC.
