Several people have been hospitalized after being stabbed inside Franklin Regional High School in Murrysville, Pa., by a student, according to ABC News.

Franklin Regional School District has canceled classes for all elementary schools and says all middle and high school students are secure. Parents are being allowed to pick up their children.

A 16-year-old male student was taken into custody.

Dan Stevens, a spokesman for Westmoreland County emergency management, says none of the victims appear to have suffered life-threatening injuries. The victims range in age from 15 to 60, according to NBC News.

WPXI in Pittsburgh reported the first injury calls came in about 7:15 a.m., about 15 minutes after school doors opened for the day.

Four people, who were seriously injured, were airlifted to the hospital, according to WTAE Action News 4. In addition, they are reporting  that as many as 20 people have been injured, but not all of those people were stabbed.

WTAE Action News 4 also says the stabbings took place in multiple classrooms and were done by a sophomore student with two knives. The motive for the stabbings is not known at this time.

Murrysville is located about 15 miles east of Pittsburgh.
