MILWAUKEE - A mom from Milwaukee saved to buy tickets to Monday night's Packers-Bears game. But when she got to Lambeau, she found that the tickets were stolen.
Sara Jung didn't know she'd be flagged when she went to the ticket booth at Lambeau.
"They scanned the tickets and it started beeping funny and from that moment, I kind of had that sinking feeling that this is not good," said Jung.
Lambeau security told the family the tickets they bought were actually stolen and couldn't be used. Jung found the tickets for sale on Craigslist.
"Twenty yard line visitors side, 28th row and that kind of made me question and I asked him, why would you sell them so cheap? and he said, well it's already Friday night," said Jung.
Jung's mom flew in from Florida for the game. Her two young sons were more than excited.
Despite some reservation, Jung met the man in a parking lot.
"When I asked for his phone number rather than emailing he said he had dropped his phone and broke it," said Jung.
But when he handed her the four tickets that looked legit, she handed over the cash. We turned to Mike Holzberger, a licensed ticket broker in Whitefish Bay for advice.
"It's best to pay with a credit card or with PayPal because in both cases, you're always protected should you in some way not get what you're paying for," said Holzberger.
Jung says she thought she was getting tickets from a season ticket holder, not stolen tickets.
"I just can't believe there's people in this world that would do something like that, knowing that I was taking little kids and it was a birthday present," said Jung.
