MILWAUKEE - It was a bustling sight outside Clinton Rose Park in Milwaukee recently. Members of the Clinton Rose Beautification team were hard at work.
The goal? Student Destiny Johnson explains: "To make the community a better place and look nice."
Milwaukee County Supervisor Willie Johnson Jr. helped make the project a reality. He hopes students get skills they can use a lifetime.
He notes, "The application and learning of these skills may help them get employment next year."
Guy Smith, Chief Operating Officer of Milwaukee County Parks applauds the team effort. Smith says, "It's just a great synergy. It's great for everyone who utilizes the parks, the kids the seniors everyone involved."
Those involved with the project are taking pride in helping to bring a Milwaukee gem back to life.
