Judy's Red Hots written up again for health code violations
MILWAUKEE- A place on the city's north side is not taking the health of its customers seriously. There are more violations from the health department and we've been to this spot more than once.
Dirty Dining made an appearance at Judy's Red Hots on 48th and Lisbon back in 2006 and 2007. This time around the restaurant was fined for things like slime and mold build up on the soda gun nozzles; a fly strip directly above the table where employees prep food.
When we stopped by we were told there was no one to comment on things like a food slicer with dried debris or sliced tomatoes at 84 degrees. They should be kept cold at 41 degrees.
There were problems with the Kool-Aid dispensers. When inspectors lifted the lids, flies flew out. And this isn't the first time for that violation.
Also grime buildup on faucets and food splatters were on the walls and ceiling in the kitchen.
We never heard back from the owner of Judy's Red Hots. Out of the restaurant's last 10 health inspections, only one was clean.
