MILWAUKEE - If the cost to cool your home is becoming unaffordable, do not wait to ask for help.

There are a number of options to help you manage these costs more effectively.

If you are struggling with energy costs, here is what you can do:

• Contact WE Energies as soon as possible to ask about special payment arrangements, time of use plans, and programs that provide assistance with energy costs.

• You might also want to check out the Keep Wisconsin Warm and Cool Fund at

This fund may be able to provide assitance with energy bills for those dealing with a financial crisis.

These funds may be available for those who may not qualify for other programs.

• It might also be a good idea to ask for tips on how to use less energy such as using programable thermostats, setting your thermostat for air conditioning a degree or two higher, and doing what you can to keep cool during the hot summer season.

Do not wait until you fall behind to ask for help with your electric bill. Ask for help immediately.

You do not want to risk having your power shut off at a time when you may need it most.
