Shredfest Saturday at State Fair Park
Do you have personal documents that you want to get rid of safely and securely?
You may want to head down to Shredfest at State Fair Park this Saturday and have them shredded for free.
If you have documents that you want shredded for free, bring them to Shredfest, this Saturday, June 4th from 9:00 a.m. until noon at the north lot - gate 6 of State Fair Park.
Consumers and small business owners can bring up to two bags or 50 pounds of documents to be shredded for free, on site by several qualified vendors.
Who is hosting this event and why is it being offered?
The event is being hosted by the State of Wisconsin Office of Privacy Protection, along with support from Access Information Services, State Fair Park, and TODAY'S TMJ4's Call 4 Action volunteers.
The Office of Privacy Protection and our Call 4 Action office receive a number of complaints each year about privacy breaches and identity theft.
Sometimes this happens because a criminal got this information from items that were thrown away in the trash.
To prevent this from happening, you should shred anything that contains personal information before throwing it away.
Where can people get more information about this event?
