Woman killed in Franklin bike accident leaves legacy

By Samara Sodos. CREATED Aug 30, 2014

FRANKLIN -- Tina Scharf was never supposed to make it to age 12, much less 41.

Diagnosed with a life-threatening brain tumor at age six, she survived seven surgeries and exhausting procedures and treatment.

At age 11, she became the first person in Wisconsin to be granted a wish by the Make-a-Wish Foundation. She chose to meet Michael Jackson.

Scharf died Friday when she was hit by a car while out riding her bike.
