CHIPPEWA FALLS, Wis. (AP) -- A woman accused of striking and killing a western Wisconsin dentist biking near Stanley has pleaded not guilty.
Twenty-seven-year-old Krista Holler of Cadott is charged in Chippewa County Court with homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle.
Holler is accused in the death of Robert Tschabrun (SHAH'-brun). Tschabrun was struck and killed June 1 while riding his bike. A passer-by discovered the body of the 71-year-old dentist in a ditch along with an abandoned car.
The Leader-Telegram reports Holler was in court Friday for a preliminary hearing.
Witnesses say Holler had been drinking at a tavern and a bonfire before she left. After the accident she called a friend to pick her up, but didn't contact law enforcement.
Holler's driving license was suspended at the time of the crash.
