MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Gov. Scott Walker says he remains committed to trying to lure businesses in neighboring states across the border and into Wisconsin.
Walker told the Wisconsin Counties Association at its annual meeting Tuesday that he plans to hold a meeting in St. Croix County for Minnesota companies to come here what the state has to offer.
Walker says a similar meeting near the Illinois border has led to several companies deciding to move to Wisconsin.
Walker says he will be announcing more details this week of his economic and workforce development agenda for the Legislature to consider.
The Legislature is slated to meet again in October.
