MILWAUKEE -- Kids at Saint Marcus Early Childhood Center in Milwaukee got a very special guest on Wednesday: Governor Scott Walker.

Walker stopped by Mrs. Schauer's first grade class to read "Wild about Books."

"We just know if we get kids reading early... They're gonna do well going on...," he said.

Meanwhile, Mary Burke campaigned in Milwaukee on Tuesday.  She said creating jobs is her top priority, especially in areas of poverty.

"Any area of the state that has an unemployment rate that's 25 percent higher than what the state average is, we would immediately form a task force and get people focused on addressing the issues and putting options on the table," she said.

The most recent Marquette Law School Poll has Burke and Walker neck and neck in the governor's race.
