Swimming season's ending in Milwaukee county

CREATED Aug. 17, 2013

MILWAUKEE - The weather cooperated with blue skies and warm temperatures for this, the final weekend for Milwaukee County Park pools.

Most county pools and splash pads, including those at Hales Corners, Holler, Jackson, Kosciuszko, McCarty, Oak Creek Parkway, Sheridan, Washington and Wilson park will be closing after Sunday.

Some wading pools, however, will remain open through Labor Day weekend. Those include Cool Waters in Greenfield Park and the Schulz Aquatic Center in Lincoln Park.

One final note...once Cool Waters closes to human swimmers, it will feature a "Doggie Dip" at 6:30 p.m. on Labor Day.
